Spent most of the month of May in Asheville, North Carolina.

You can see for yourself here in this video.

Although I mainly make music on my own, sometimes I collaborate with people who I feel on the same page with. In this specific case, I felt my friend Ryan could help bring out the warmth of summer on this track for the Calendar Project.

Ryan goes under the name Koresma for his music. To give you a better idea of Koresma's style on his own, his track "Bridges" showcases his smooth guitar work very nicely.

This song was inspired by the idea of how bridges connect people and places. Music is one of the biggest connecting things for us and it brings people together regardless of race, language, culture, beliefs, and beyond. Artwork by Luke Gram. Ryan has been a long standing collaborate of mine for a few years now. Although we have a slew of unreleased tracks, a good bit of the music we've worked together on have been formative towards my production style.

Here's an older track we did together called "Folds."

Besides the music though, it's always a good time making the trip up to Asheville to kick it with friends and check out the scenery.

Koresma lives about a 15 minute drive from downtown Asheville, which is a super neat spot. Has a bunch of unique restaurants, beer breweries, miscellaneous shops,  and a couple of great music venues (we saw Bonobo play at the Orange Peel during my stay).

The world famous synthesizer manufacturer, Moog, is based out of Asheville.

Highly recommend you take the tour of the Moog factory if you're a music maker though. You'll be amazed at the process that goes into making these synths.

Also, it was the first time I got to play a theremin. Let me tell you - that is a very difficult instrument to play.

If anything, walking around the town, you'll find something you'll like.

Chilling at my favorite spot in downtown Asheville: Dobra Tea.

Of course though, my favorite part of North Carolina is the beautiful nature all around. Whenever I crash with Ryan, we always make the trip to the nearby mountains.

What's really neat is you get this blanket of fog in the mountains after it rains that makes you feel like you're on top of the world looking down.

This brings me to the end of this entry. I hope this gives you a better insight into the track, and maybe piques your interest a little to go visit North Carolina.

Until next time,
